Christian Women Fellowship is Mission Focused

CWF has never been under any organization.  Currently, we are called Christian Women/Men Fellowship and have always focused on missions by helping those in need around them.

A lady named Caroline Neville Parre, started the women's organization in Missouri in 1874.  The mission statement is from the book of Matthew 5:15, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in it."

This group raised funds by putting on bake sales, selling attic treasures, and hosting dinners.  The idea soon caught on to all the women of the Christian Church throughout every state in the union.  It is the oldest organization of the church, now 138 years old.

It was in 2000, we at First Christian Church in Traverse City, invited the men to join us.  They have become involved in whatever we do and feel a part of lending a helping hand.
