First Christian Church

The chalice symbolizes the central place of communion in worship for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). The X-shaped cross of the disciple Andrew is a reminder of the ministry of each person and the importance of evangelism.
Disciples Chalice
Our beliefs are simple and based on the Inspired Word of God.
As Disciples of Christ we seek wholeness and healing for all in a fragmented world. As part of the one body of Christ, we welcome all to Worship, Fellowship, The Lord’s Table, and Baptism as God has welcomed us through Jesus Christ.
We teach, as we believe the New Testament teaches that Baptism is the immersion of a person old enough to believe, repent, and confess that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God. Church membership is for anyone who publicly confesses that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior of their life. As a church we welcome all who publicly reaffirm their baptism by immersion or by other forms, through confession of faith.
The Lord's Supper or Communion is celebrated in every worship service. It is open to all who are who confess and believe that Jesus Christ is their Lord and Savior.  The celebration of Holy Communion is the central element of worship for First Christian Church. It is at the Table of the Lord we celebrate with thanksgiving the saving acts and presence of Christ.
