Wednesday night, children are encouraged to participate in Awana Club. Awana Stands for "Approved workers are not ashamed." Kids cannot stop talking about the game time, lessons, and scripture memoization that they learn throughout the course of this exciting club! Our Awana club consists of three main clubs, "Cubbies," "Sparks," and "T&T," each with their own unique curriculum, uniforms, and speical awards and prizes. First Christian Church charges a $12 club fee per child, per year, to attend Awana. This low fee covers books, materials, and club shirts. Each clubber is also encouraged to bring up to 25 cents each week to put in their Awana "dues jar" as this promotes good stewardship and encourages the kids to contribute towards the cost of their uniform patches and awards throughout the year. Special donations are also accepted and will go directly towards club costs for the year. Club fees do not need to be collected up front, but will be required upon completion of entry books to purchase the club shirts and curriculum materials for each clubber.
